Mole Cottage is a delightful thatched cottage that has been sympathetically modernised by it’s present owners to provide a high standard of accommodation. Built in 1927 the cottage is situated in a picturesque location and enjoys panoramic sea views from the principal accommodation.

Luccombe village is surrounded by miles of National Trust land, overlooking The English Channel, part way between the towns of Shanklin and Ventnor, both very popular with tourists and only a 5 to 10 minutes drive.

Whilst Mole Cottage is set in an idyllic rural location secluded and "off the beaten track" the town of Shanklin, one of the best known resorts of the Island, is just 5 - 10 minutes drive. High street shops and supermarket occupy the centre and at the south end of the High Street is the Old Village, made up of a picturesque grouping of thatched cottages, with various shops, pubs and tea gardens. Shanklin Road Train (Dotto train) operates from spring to autumn and drives through the main streets and to the beach. The town and beach are separated by a cliff and whilst the road and pavements are quite steep on the approach to the beach, for those not feeling energetic or able, a lift is available along the cliff path that drops you in the centre of The Esplanade with its children's activity centre, amusements, ice cream and snack kiosks, crazy golf and of course, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

5 to 10 minutes to the west is the town of Ventnor with its Victorian architecture, fine shingle beach, an esplanade with cafes, amusements ice cream kiosks and two family pubs at either end. Coastal walks in either direction allow visitors to take in views of the rugged coastline,
